What is a “contact case”?
Last update: 22/09/2020A contact case is a person who has had “at risk” contact with a confirmed case or probable case within the last 14 days. To qualify as a contact case, it is sufficient, for example, not to have worn a mask during the interaction and to have been within one metre of the person, regardless of the length of the interaction.
Anyone who has been in a confined space for at least 15 minutes with someone who has tested positive can also be considered a contact case.
