Can I just turn up at the National Testing Centre?

Last update: 21/12/2021

No, it is not possible to just turn up at the National Testing Centre on your own initiative.

The Centre’s role is to manage and coordinate PCR tests for COVID-19 and make the process as quick as possible.

The Centre is exclusively for use by Monegasque nationals, residents, employees and children attending school in the Principality who are covered by Monegasque social security funds.

To get a test at the National Testing Centre, you must have a medical prescription, unless you are a resident, in which case you can make an appointment without a prescription. You need to telephone the Call Centre on 92 05 55 00 to register your request. You will then be contacted directly by the National Testing Centre (Rainier III Auditorium) to arrange an appointment for your test.

The National Testing Centre will therefore not admit anyone without an appointment.

In all other circumstances, people will be invited to make an appointment with a private laboratory in the city for their test. The Monaco Medical Analysis Laboratory takes samples for patients with or without a prescription who are required to show a PCR test or who wish to be tested for personal reasons.

If you have any questions, please contact the COVID-19 Call Centre on 92 05 55 00.
