You have a chronic illness and you need another course of treatment, but your prescription has run out an you cannot consult your doctor. In light of the health situation, the chemist may, exceptionally, dispense your treatment, ensuring that you will continue to be able to receive it until 31 August 2020.

Treatments will initially be dispensed for one month, after which it will be possible to renew again. These medicines will be reimbursed by the health insurance scheme in the same way as usual.

The chemist will inform your doctor, and will stamp the prescription with the chemist’s details and indicate the date and number of boxes dispensed

Please note: Medicines containing hypnotic or anxiolytic substances will be dispensed for a period of no more than 28 days, which can then be renewed until 31 August 2020 provided that these medicines have been dispensed to patients for at least three consecutive months.
