Self-test
Self-test
Dernière modification le 15/06/2021This is a nasal swab, but shallower and therefore less unpleasant than the usual PCR or antigen tests.
Be careful, they are not sufficient on their own: in the event of a positive test, a PCR test will be necessary to confirm it.
It will not be possible for you to assert the result of a self-test to travel during this period of fight against the spread of the virus. Only the PCR test has probative value.
The self-tests (ATN) are sold only in pharmacies.
The self-test is recommended for asymptomatic people.
The self-test should not be used if the person is symptomatic or has contact. In these cases, it is imperative to perform an RT-PCR examination by nasopharyngeal swab.
Self-test can be performed on people over the age of 3.
A positive self-test result must be confirmed by a PCR test.
Whether the result is positive or negative (self-test or PCR), the obligation to isolate yourself is lifted. You can therefore continue your professional activity and the respect of barrier gestures remains recommended.
In the event of the appearance of symptoms, it is advisable to contact your GP.
