Which places can open ?

Last update: 04/05/2020

To contain the spread of the epidemic, all public places that are not essential to the functioning of the country are closed until further notice.

Crèches and educational establishments are also covered by this measure.

The following will remain open:

  • Food markets and shops
  • Chemists
  • Newsagents
  • Filling stations
  • Banks
  • Places of worship
  • Hotels (food limited to room service)

What about other shops?

The ministerial decision issued on 18 March authorised the continuation of around 40 activities. These include garages, shops selling and repairing parts and accessories for motor vehicles, cycles and computers, agricultural suppliers, temporary employment agencies, insurance firms, funeral service providers and washing and dry-cleaning services.

What about public services?

Some departments will continue to be open to the public for specific services.

You are advised to contact the relevant department before going out.
